Because that's how everyone from the IRS to your local bank needs to see your finances. They want a clean set of books for a full calendar year before they'll sign off on a tax return or approve a loan.
Why monthly billing?
By spreading the fee across twelve equal payments, you keep more cash available to the business for advertising, hiring, and other growth moves.
